I’m of the firm belief that especially right now, given our social and political climate, non-Muslim and especially white writers have no business writing Muslim characters unless they develop them with a Muslim or several Muslims and research the HELL out of not only Islam but whatever culture the Muslim character belongs to.

Calm the hell down with the “BUH THE FIRST AMENDMENT” nonsense. Chick-fil-A wasn’t a first amendment issue, and neither is this. I’m not proposing anyone be outlawed from doing this.

I’m just proposing writers not be dicks. Especially at a time of rampant Islamophobia worldwide.
